Job Overview

We are seeking a Painter 1 to join our production team responsible for the preparation and painting of metal trailers. This role involves preparing surfaces, mixing paint formulations, and applying paint through various methods to achieve a high-quality finish.

Primary Duties

• Set up and prepare painting tools and materials before use.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint booth and surrounding workspace.
• Prepare metals and materials properly for painting to ensure optimal adhesion and quality.
• Adhere strictly to defined production painting procedures and workflows.
• Arrange products and materials strategically for efficient painting operations.
• Mix and monitor paint solutions to achieve uniform consistency and maintain quality.
• Inspect, refinish, and rework painted surfaces to correct imperfections or defects.
• Apply paint through a variety of techniques including electrostatic air spraying and manual spraying methods.
• Ensure precise color matching and even application according to specifications.
• Continuously monitor paint application to uphold stringent quality standards.
• Transport trailers and components to and from painting stations as required.
• Uphold a clean and safe environment by following safety guidelines and regulations.
• Perform any additional duties assigned to support production goals.

Required Qualifications

• Up to one year of experience in a production painting setting.
• Familiarity with operating electrostatic air sprayers and various hand-held sprayers.
• Basic knowledge of paint mixing, application techniques, and accurate color matching.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong focus on detail and dedication to quality workmanship.
• Physical capability to lift weights up to 25 pounds and remain standing for long durations.
