General Laborer

Job Overview

This position with Big Tex Trailer World involves the upkeep and presentation of outdoor trailer displays and associated product areas. The General Laborer will perform a variety of tasks including trailer assembly, lot maintenance, receiving freight, and supporting service duties as needed. Providing assistance for customer-related queries related to sales and service is also a core responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble trailers efficiently and safely.
• Move and park trailers on the lot as required.
• Prepare trailers by washing and readying them for delivery.
• Assist customers in hooking up trailers and conduct visual safety checks including lighting, safety chains, and decking.
• Maintain the outdoor lot by mowing, removing weeds, snow clearing, trash collection, and installing signage such as exterior signs, banners, or flags.
• Receive incoming trailers, parts, and supplies and stock them appropriately.
• Support service technicians with various tasks.
• Assist with opening and closing duties of the store when assigned.
• Keep the store and support areas clean and organized as directed.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Availability to work Monday through Saturday including overtime when necessary.
