Job Responsibilities

• Manage payroll cycle processing ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
• Assist in preparing and producing government filings such as T4, Relevé 1, and CNESST documentation.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and enhancement of payroll-related projects and processes.
• Address employee inquiries concerning payroll, deductions, benefits, and related topics.
• Help prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Keep abreast of legislative and fiscal changes impacting payroll regulations.
• Perform any other tasks related to the payroll department's activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Certification from the National Payroll Institute (INP) is considered an asset.
• At least five years of experience in a similar payroll role, preferably within medium to large enterprises.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of precision.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• High ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality and integrity at all times.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
• Customer-service oriented mindset when dealing with internal employees.
• Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, including tables, formulas, and data analysis.
• Experience working with Nethris or comparable payroll systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of Quebec and Canadian tax and payroll legislation.
