Overview
Located at Waitemata Brewery in Otahuhu, Auckland, this permanent full-time role offers an opportunity to join DB Breweries, a member of the global HEINEKEN family, dedicated to crafting quality beer, cider, and RTDs. The Packaging Technician role is hands-on and well-suited to individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and enhance packaging machinery to ensure production goals are reached
- Ensure products comply with company quality and safety standards
- Engage in TPM Continuous Improvement initiatives, utilizing techniques such as 5S and Kaizen to boost performance and minimize waste
- Complete timely reactive and preventative maintenance tasks
- Collaborate effectively with planning, maintenance, and logistics teams to maintain seamless operations
- Follow, revise, and contribute to Standard Operating Procedures and assist in team training efforts
- Dynamically work across multiple areas as required
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a mechanical or electrical trade qualification (NZCE, Advanced Trade Certificate, or comparable)
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience in packaging or maintenance within brewing, FMCG, or food and beverage sectors
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems and continuous improvement methodologies
- Competency in using technology such as smartphones or tablets for email correspondence, online training, data recording, and issue reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- A proactive, collaborative team mindset with eagerness to learn and share knowledge
- Legal entitlement to work full-time in New Zealand
