Job description

Job Overview

The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the water treatment processes and syrup preparation within the manufacturing process, ensuring operations run effectively, safely, and in line with established company standards. This role leads a team focused on maintaining quality outputs, environmental compliance, and continuous operational improvements.

Primary Duties

  • Manage all aspects of water treatment including filtration, reverse osmosis, and disinfection to provide consistent, high-quality water for production.
  • Supervise wastewater treatment plant activities to meet environmental discharge standards and promote sustainability efforts such as reducing water use.
  • Lead and coach a team of operators across syrup preparation, water treatment, and wastewater treatment, conducting training to build technical skills and enforce safety and operational procedures.
  • Regularly monitor team performance, offering constructive feedback, setting clear goals aligned with organizational priorities, and managing disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Ensure strict compliance with quality, regulatory, and environmental policies, collaborating with quality teams to resolve non-conformances and maintain audit readiness.
  • Implement and uphold health, safety, and environmental protocols through inspections, risk assessments, and corrective actions to foster a safe workplace.
  • Prepare detailed reports on production metrics, water and wastewater management, and compliance indicators, maintaining thorough documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Develop, communicate, and enforce operational policies within assigned responsibilities, working with stakeholders to ensure proper implementation and adherence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related supervisory role.

Technical and Leadership Skills

  • Proficient knowledge of Packaging processes and The Manufacturing Way/WCM/Lean methodologies.
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications.
  • Self-motivated with high energy and a proactive approach to identifying operational gaps and driving improvements.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with company labor relations and people management practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to inspire, engage, and manage teams effectively within a manufacturing context.
