Over-the-Counter Associate

Role Overview

An Over-the-Counter (OTC) Associate plays a key role in supporting customer needs by managing the OTC department efficiently under the guidance of the Pharmacy or OTC Department Manager. The associate is responsible for ensuring accurate product stocking, presentation, and outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values and principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with privacy regulations.
• Work to boost sales and profitability of the OTC section following management's directions.
• Regularly rotate stock and inspect product expiry dates to ensure freshness and safety.
• Keep the assigned area clean, well-organized, and fully compliant with safety and company standards.
• Perform proper procedures for inventory activities including ordering, clearance processes, pricing adjustments, and labeling documentation.
• Ensure the work area is free from clutter, spills, and unnecessary items to maintain safety and order.
• Maintain flawless pricing accuracy through adherence to scanning credibility programs.
• Carry out calibration and upkeep of equipment involved in filling prescriptions when required.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is a minimum of $17.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
