Orca Analyst - Cloud Security

About the Role

The Orca Analyst is tasked with overseeing the monitoring, managing, and escalation of security alerts generated by the Orca cloud security platform. This position demands analytical aptitude, keen attention to detail, and proficient communication across departments to guarantee the swift resolution of security vulnerabilities, thereby adhering to compliance protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily examination of newly raised Orca alerts linked to findings on recently added resources;
• Determining responsible owners for alerts and verifying status of open tickets, assigning action items through Jira or ServiceNow ticketing tools;
• Conducting bi-weekly email follow-ups with teams responsible for tickets that lack progress;
• Assessing and processing exemption requests submitted by various teams and escalating those to the cloud security department as necessary;
• Partnering closely with resource owners, IT operations, and security units to ensure issues are remedied effectively and timely;
• Documenting each alert, ticket, and exception accurately to support audit activities and maintain compliance records.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline;
• Experience working with cloud security tools, preferably Orca;
• Knowledgeable in ticket management systems like Jira and ServiceNow;
• Excellent communication capabilities and strong organizational skills;
• Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks and deliver results within deadlines.
