Oracle Fusion Cloud Data Migration Consultant

About the Role

We are looking for an Oracle Fusion Cloud Data Migration Consultant with solid hands-on experience ranging from 3 to 5 years in Oracle Fusion Cloud technical environments. The candidate will specialize in data migration initiatives, particularly utilizing Oracle HCM Data Loader (HDL) and FBDI templates for various Oracle Fusion modules, including HCM, Finance, and Procurement. This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive data migration tasks from legacy systems into Oracle Fusion Cloud applications, including extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and loading.
• Prepare, maintain, and update data mapping documents, define conversion guidelines, devise migration strategies, and develop technical specifications documentation.
• Use Oracle HCM Data Loader (HDL) tools to load and verify Core HR and workforce-related data objects.
• Configure and troubleshoot HDL data files to resolve any loading difficulties.
• Perform data migration activities with FBDI templates covering General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Suppliers, and Purchase Orders.
• Create and refine SQL and PL/SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation purposes.
• Conduct data profiling and quality audits with necessary cleansing to guarantee data integrity.
• Manage multiple trial migration runs and provide support during full-scale production cutovers.
• Reconcile source and target data and generate detailed reconciliation and validation reports.
• Detect and troubleshoot migration defects, data discrepancies, and failures in data loads.
• Engage with functional consultants to comprehend business needs and migration dependencies effectively.
• Assist User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by verifying migrated data and resolving any related concerns.
• Document migration workflows, mapping logic, testing outcomes, and deployment activities thoroughly.
• Ensure compliance with project guidelines, data governance standards, and maintain high data quality standards.
• Monitor migration timelines, report progress regularly, and escalate risks or issues proactively.
• Operate independently on assigned data migration tasks while collaborating efficiently with project teams and stakeholders.
• Support ongoing enhancements of migration processes, tools, and methodologies to improve project delivery efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 3 to 5 years of direct Oracle Fusion Cloud technical experience, especially in data migration projects.
• Hands-on proficiency with Oracle HCM Data Loader (HDL), primarily with Core HR business objects.
• Extensive experience with FBDI-based data migration templates in Oracle Finance and Procurement modules.
• Advanced skills in SQL and PL/SQL programming for data migration tasks.
• Proven expertise in data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation processes.
• Experience managing multiple mock migration cycles and supporting production cutover activities.
• Ability to function independently on technical migration responsibilities with minimal oversight.
• Strong analytical thinking paired with problem-solving capabilities.
• Keen attention to detail ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
