About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Oracle Financials Functional Consultant with 6 to 7 years of expertise in Oracle Fusion Financials. The consultant will play a critical role in the implementation, configuration, support, testing, troubleshooting, and analysis of business finance processes within Oracle Fusion Financials modules.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with business users to gather and understand finance-related requirements and devise effective functional solutions.
- Configure Oracle Fusion Financials modules aligning with the detailed business needs.
- Manage key financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany transactions.
- Set up and maintain Chart of Accounts, Ledgers, Legal Entities, Business Units, Accounting Calendars, and other related financial configurations.
- Oversee AP operations such as supplier invoice processing, payments, prepayments, invoice validation, and payment execution.
- Handle AR functions including customer setups, billing, receipt processing, adjustments, credit memos, and collections management.
- Support General Ledger activities with journal entries, allocations, recurring journals, revaluations, translations, intercompany transactions, and period closing tasks.
- Administer Fixed Assets processes including asset additions, transfers, retirements, depreciation calculations, and reconciliations.
- Conduct functional analysis, carry out configurations, perform comprehensive testing, and resolve technical and functional issues efficiently.
- Document functional specifications, configuration details, test cases, and user manuals thoroughly.
- Liaise with technical teams for integration, reporting, interfaces, and data migration efforts.
- Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment phases, and provide post-production support.
- Investigate and resolve production issues within established service timelines.
- Support financial reconciliations between subledgers and the General Ledger to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate efforts with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to ensure smooth project progression.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- 6 to 7 years of hands-on experience working with Oracle Financials.
- Extensive expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials modules.
- In-depth knowledge of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Intercompany processes.
- Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial business processes.
- Proven experience in Oracle Financials implementations or support roles.
- Competence in requirement gathering, functional configuration, testing, and comprehensive documentation.
- Familiarity with Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and financial reporting tools is advantageous.
- Good understanding of Oracle integration frameworks and data migration strategies.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders efficiently.
Educational Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related disciplines is required.
Additional Information
This position requires solid knowledge of Oracle Financials current documentation, including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Intercompany processes, reconciliation, reporting, and period closing operations relevant to the role.
