Job Overview
The Oracle ERP Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.2.x) applications. This position requires deep expertise in Oracle ERP systems, including Oracle APEX and Oracle OAF, combined with advanced skills in PL/SQL and integrations. The role involves collaborating with functional teams, delivering high-quality software solutions, and providing leadership in ERP application development.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and customize Oracle ERP components utilizing Oracle APEX, Oracle OAF, Oracle Forms, Reports (10g/12c), BI Publisher, and Oracle Workflow Builder.
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, functions, procedures, APIs, reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, and custom concurrent programs.
- Support new module development, system enhancements, and application upgrades.
- Offer technical support for core Oracle ERP modules such as Financials (AP, AR, GL, FA), Supply Chain (PO, INV, OM), and HRMS/Payroll as applicable.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly.
- Analyze business requirements and design scalable, effective solutions.
- Assist with patching, cloning, and maintenance tasks, including managing R12.2 online patching using ADOP.
- Develop integrations using REST/SOAP web services, Oracle public APIs, and interface tables, securing data exchanges with external systems.
- Optimize PL/SQL code for performance and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to EBS development standards.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation including MD050, MD070, TE020, and deployment guides.
- Collaborate closely with functional consultants and technical teams to design system architectures.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, promoting best practices and quality standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Five to seven years of practical experience in Oracle ERP application development focusing on versions R12.1 and R12.2.
- Proficiency with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.x, including experience with online patching processes.
- Advanced skills with Oracle APEX and Oracle OAF for enterprise application development and customization.
- Expert-level knowledge of PL/SQL programming.
- Experience with Oracle Forms, Reports, BI Publisher, XML Publisher, and Oracle Workflow.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Solid understanding of EBS system architecture, file management, patching, and ADOP cycles.
- Preferred knowledge in Oracle SOA/Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, Oracle ADF, and version control tools such as Git or SVN.
- Experience working within Agile development environments is advantageous.
