Role Overview

This Optometrist position requires conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing vision-related issues, and providing appropriate vision correction solutions, including contact lens fittings. The role also involves supporting optical retail activities, maintaining excellent customer relations, and managing daily store operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough eye exams and vision assessments to identify common visual impairments.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and contact lenses based on patient needs.
• Execute contact lens fittings and provide detailed eye-care advice to patients.
• Maintain precise patient records and comply with professional clinical standards.
• Deliver high-quality customer service tailored to individual vision and lifestyle requirements.
• Recommend suitable optical products such as lenses and contact lenses to customers.
• Engage in post-examination follow-up within three days to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Develop strong customer relationships to foster retention and support sales growth.
• Assist with sales activities and support store operations as needed.
• Regularly monitor contact lens inventory and check expiry every six months.
• Manage ordering and timely follow-up of contact lens supplies.
• Oversee maintenance schedules and condition of optometric equipment.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Optometry.
• Minimum of two years relevant experience, with preference for candidates with UAE experience.
• Hold a valid Optometrist license or eligibility confirmation from MOH, DHA, or DOH.
• Exhibit strong clinical skills alongside effective communication and customer service aptitude.
• Possess solid knowledge of optical lenses and proficiency in contact lens fitting techniques.
• Customer-oriented mindset with an ability to enhance sales through relationship building.
• Willingness to work during weekends, public holidays, and flexible shifts as required.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic or Russian is considered advantageous.
