About the Role
Join Specsavers at Citywest Shopping Centre as an Optical Assistant, where your proactive attitude and passion for excellent customer service will help create a welcoming store atmosphere for customers and colleagues alike. This role is ideal for someone with previous optical experience, such as an Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant, eager to grow within the optical retail sector.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations
As an Optical Assistant, you will promote and embody the Specsavers brand and its products, delivering outstanding customer service. You'll be responsible for supporting customers throughout their visit while contributing positively to the store environment and team efforts.
Candidate Profile and Skills Required
- Proven experience in optical retail, ideally as an Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant
- Strong passion for providing excellent customer care and simplifying customers’ optical experiences
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Self-starter attitude with good initiative
- Comfortable and confident in using IT systems
- Excellent communication and active listening capabilities
- Willingness to step outside comfort zones and embrace new challenges
- Open to constructive feedback and personal development, supported by company guidance
Desirable but Not Essential
- Experience working in a fast-paced customer service setting
- Background in the optics retail business
- Familiarity with optical or audiology-related terminology
