Position: Packer Operator
Job Objective
The primary goal is to efficiently and safely operate cigarette packing machines to meet daily production targets, while ensuring high-quality output that aligns with JTI's operating protocols, quality standards, Integrated Work System (IWS) principles, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Run cigarette packing machines following established procedures and scheduled production plans.
- Conduct thorough shift handovers and keep clear, accurate production documentation.
- Confirm packaging materials correspond with production orders; promptly report inconsistencies.
- Perform machine cleaning, inspections, and basic troubleshooting to maintain optimal machine functionality.
- Carry out routine quality inspections on finished products and packaging, quickly identifying and reporting any anomalies.
- Track machine operation and document downtime as necessary.
- Adhere strictly to EHS guidelines, quality benchmarks, and 5S3R organizational standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and fulfill additional tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Educational qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, General Mechanics, Metal Fabrication, or related technical disciplines.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production roles is a beneficial asset.
- Basic proficiency in computer usage.
- High attention to detail and dedication to quality assurance.
- Capability to follow procedures accurately and collaborate effectively within a team setting.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety, continual improvement, and operational excellence.
