About the Role

Join JTI as a Canteen Service Associate responsible for managing the smooth and hygienic functioning of the company canteen and coffee corners across multiple sites. This role ensures food safety, service excellence, vendor management, and high employee satisfaction while adhering strictly to health, safety, and company policies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily canteen and coffee corner activities at all company locations to guarantee timely and authorized meal service.
  • Monitor and validate meal eligibility and consumption logs; oversee supplier invoice accuracy aligned with consumption data.
  • Ensure continuous availability of essential utilities including food supplies, water, and electricity.
  • Maintain rigorous food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards compliant with regulations and internal requirements.
  • Inspect all incoming food items for quality, cleanliness, and sourcing only from accredited suppliers.
  • Manage proper food handling procedures including storage, rotation, and cleanliness to avoid contamination and reduce wastage.
  • Oversee the maintenance and proper use of canteen equipment and facilities, conducting routine inspections and reporting necessary repairs.
  • Ensure canteen and coffee areas remain safe, clean, and fully operational.
  • Coordinate with outsourced vendors, ensuring contract compliance, hygiene, and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement team on vendor sourcing, contract management, and performance review.
  • Handle employee and stakeholder feedback, complaints, and suggestions to drive continuous improvement in service quality.
  • Manage catering and refreshment services for internal meetings, trainings, and company events.
  • Maintain detailed operational records, inspection reports, and documentation to ensure regulatory and audit compliance.
  • Support internal and external inspection processes by providing accurate information and reports.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management, Nutrition, or related disciplines.
  • At least 2 years' experience in managing hotel, canteen, or cafeteria operations.
  • Additional certification in Food Safety, Hygiene, or Catering Services is advantageous.
  • Basic facility management or customer service training preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Comprehensive understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
  • Capability to manage operations across multiple locations.
  • Experience working with external service providers and vendor coordination.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel considered a plus.
  • Adept at working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and service providers.
