About the Role
The Operations Support Engineer will be responsible for maintaining reliable, secure, and seamless operation of critical IT systems. This position supports hardware, software, and network components, particularly within a live environment that demands continuous uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 technical assistance focused on operational systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server editions (2019, 2022, 2025) and Windows Client systems.
- Examine system and application logs to identify and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Provide ongoing hardware troubleshooting including PCs, servers, storage units, power supplies, biometric scanners, and related peripherals.
- Maintain operational readiness in a shift-based setup with on-call duties to ensure 24/7 availability.
- Apply foundational networking knowledge for troubleshooting TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, and DHCP.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Between 1 to 4 years of practical experience in IT operations, technical or infrastructure support, or system administration.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Windows Server Administration, MCSA or MCSE are preferred.
Additional Information
This role demands working in shifts to ensure continuous system operation and availability. Candidates should be prepared for on-call responsibilities as part of the 24/7 operational support.
