About the Role
Join a leading parcel service company as an Operations Manager based in Chennai. This position demands a minimum of five years of parcel operations experience, ideally with top logistics or courier providers. This role will oversee all operational activities within the region, ensuring smooth parcel movement and excellent service quality.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations across Chennai locations to guarantee efficient parcel dispatch, delivery, and optimized routing.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain turnaround times and high customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with hubs, branch offices, franchisees, and field personnel to coordinate activities seamlessly.
- Oversee franchise partners by ensuring compliance with operational standards and meeting business goals through regular reviews and audits.
- Handle staff management including allocation, productivity improvement, training, and motivation to uphold operational excellence.
- Drive business growth by exploring new opportunities and supporting partner development to increase volumes and market share.
- Conduct fieldwork including audits, client engagements, and franchise evaluations to ensure service quality.
- Prepare and present MIS reports on operational performance, service levels, and revenue periodically.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities for large operational teams.
- Practical experience in logistics, courier, or parcel delivery operations.
- Excellent communication skills particularly in franchise management.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills focused on operational efficiency.
- Result-driven with solid business understanding and strategic acumen.
- Any graduate degree required; MBA preferred.
Compensation and Other Details
Offered salary is a maximum gross amount of INR 7,00,000 per annum. Candidates meeting the experience criteria are encouraged to apply.
