Operations Manager

Position Overview

Nord Anglia International School Al Khor in Qatar is currently seeking a dedicated Operations Manager. The role entails comprehensive responsibility for all operational aspects of the campus, including strategic leadership in health and safety, facilities management, contract administration, legal compliance, campus planning, and supervision of support personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and leadership in health and safety, facilities management, and campus development.
• Manage daily operations of capital projects, including budget control for capital expenditure, governance frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Supervise campus renovations, structural adjustments, and major procurement activities, coordinating efforts with landlords, contractors, and design professionals.
• Oversee the management of third-party contracts and daily campus operations such as security, maintenance, cleaning, transportation services, and onsite catering.
• Ensure the school's compliance with Qatar’s regulatory standards, Nord Anglia Education guidelines, and all legal obligations.
• Lead budgeting, procurement processes, and event planning for all non-academic functions.
• Manage staff directly including the Procurement Officer, Operations Assistant, facilities team, transport assistants, and medical personnel.
• Collaborate with the Extended Leadership Team on space allocation, room relocations, and ongoing building maintenance initiatives.
• Provide resource advice to the Principal and initiate cost-saving measures through effective vendor negotiations.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a university degree.
• Demonstrates prior experience in operations management or a similar capacity.
• Exhibits strong leadership capabilities paired with excellent communication skills.
• Maintains high personal integrity.
• Possesses exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Shows meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to perform calmly under pressure.
• Self-motivated with the ability to encourage others to meet deadlines and adapt readily to changing circumstances.
• Experience working in Qatar or the Middle East region is considered advantageous.
