Islamic Teacher

Role Overview

We are seeking a credible Islamic Teacher with a varied background in teaching, dedicated to providing engaging and meaningful lessons that foster progress for every child. The candidate should be flexible, proactive, positive, and capable of forming strong relationships within the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote the school within the local community to increase student enrollment and help meet target pupil numbers.
• Ensure students are motivated, inspired, and well-equipped to achieve their potential through dynamic learning experiences.
• Work collaboratively with staff and families to support student learning and school development.
• Maintain student safety and welfare at all times within the learning environment.
• Design and implement creative and engaging lessons to actively involve students.
• Communicate effectively and guide others as appropriate.
• Lead CAS activities, contribute to staff professional development, and participate actively in building school community.
• Comply with school policies and values known as 'Aquila Ways'.
• Engage with the school community through newsletters, conversations, reporting, and school events.
• Participate in performance management for self and colleagues.
• Take on leadership roles in improving learning as the school grows, including subject leadership.

Additional Duties

• Customize teaching to meet individual learning needs and help the school achieve high standards of progress and attainment.
• Maintain a positive and respectful school ethos.
• Ensure an inclusive curriculum that respects cultural heritage and local context.
• Communicate learning progress and school-related issues with families.
• Assist with daily school operations as directed by management.

Working Hours and Holidays

The role requires working from 7:25 AM to 4:15 PM Monday through Thursday, and 7:25 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays, with occasional evenings and weekends. Holidays are per the KHDA-approved school calendar plus five additional days during holidays.
