Overview
DEFEND is dedicated to delivering exceptional cyber resilience, providing expert security operations, proactive risk mitigation, and effective management of advanced security platforms. The Operations Lead for Microsoft Cybersecurity will oversee the configuration, enhancement, governance, and operational success of Microsoft's security technologies for our Managed Services clientele.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup, management, and improvement of Microsoft security platforms and associated technologies.
- Collaborate with the DEFEND team to establish and uphold security baselines, policies, and standards aligned with recognized industry frameworks and best practices.
- Drive ongoing enhancement of the security products and services delivered to customers.
- Continuously monitor platform health and performance, identifying and pursuing areas for improvement proactively.
- Engage with customer stakeholders to understand security goals and translate them into actionable Microsoft security controls.
- Evaluate emerging platform capabilities and propose improvements that enhance security outcomes.
- Provide expert platform support during incident response activities.
- Coordinate with engineering, detection, and response teams to maintain effective security controls across customer environments.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- In-depth expertise with Microsoft cybersecurity products.
- Strong knowledge of identity security, device management, and Zero Trust security principles.
- Experience designing and deploying Conditional Access and Intune policies.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Proven ability to balance operational support with strategic improvements to platforms.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and governance abilities.
- Dedication to continuous learning and ongoing platform optimisation.
