Operations Director

About the Role

We are conducting a confidential recruitment for a Director of Operations to join an expanding, government-supported organization located in Ras Al Khaimah. This senior leadership role involves supervision and enhancement of fundamental operational areas including government relations, human resources, legal affairs, compliance, licensing, registry management, and internal operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the incumbent will be part of the executive leadership team and tasked with establishing scalable operational structures, fostering cross-department collaboration, fortifying governance practices, and ensuring organizational alignment with regulatory standards of the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage essential operational functions across the entity.
• Formulate and deploy operational frameworks, policies, standard operating procedures, and comprehensive process flows.
• Promote interdepartmental coordination and address operational obstacles effectively.
• Maintain and nurture strategic relationships with government departments, regulatory bodies, partners, and other vital stakeholders.
• Supervise activities related to licensing, registration, compliance, and governance.
• Enhance service delivery by optimizing processes and leveraging technology-driven workflows.
• Develop KPIs and performance dashboards to assess operational efficiency.
• Recognize and manage risks associated with operations.
• Build and lead teams that perform at a high level.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Public Policy, or a related area.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in operational leadership roles.
• Deep knowledge of the UAE regulatory environment and governmental landscape.
• Demonstrated ability in overseeing multiple functions and managing cross-functional teams.
• Experience in senior stakeholder engagement and government relationship management.
• Skilled in developing operational frameworks and guiding process enhancements.
• Preferably experienced in government agencies, free zones, regulatory authorities, business setup ecosystems, or similarly structured organizations.
