Operational Responsibilities
- Allocate resources fairly for non-supervisory and less complex ground handling operations in line with operational business rules integrated into the Resource Allocation system.
- Confirm resource availability for each shift by monitoring system updates and rosters, assigning flight-related tasks based on staff qualifications and system rules.
- Conduct resource allocation in three phases: pre-planning (24 hours before shifts), shift-planning (start of shift review and adjustments), and real-time monitoring and allocation to handle dynamic operational requirements.
- Optimize operational efficiency by preparing, communicating, and executing effective resource allocation plans using the appropriate systems.
- Effectively communicate allocations to personnel and track progress of assigned tasks throughout shifts.
- Collaborate closely with operational shift teams to manage changes such as staff absences, recommending replacements or overtime as needed.
- Continuously review and adjust resource allocation plans to address evolving operational needs and business objectives.
- Maintain constant communication with shift management, including officers and duty managers, to ensure alignment and system effectiveness.
- Prepare detailed resource allocation plans usable during scheduled and unscheduled system downtimes.
- Work alongside fellow Resource Allocators to ensure smooth shift transitions and provide backup coverage as required.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the department head.
Candidate Qualifications
- High school diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Experience managing high-volume operational resource allocation systems, roster planning, or resource management functions.
- Proficiency in time resource allocation systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt rapidly to changing operational demands within shifts.
- Effective written and oral communication skills to clearly present recommendations and operational adjustments.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Real Time Allocation systems or similar decision-support tools used in resource allocation.
