Our Global Payments team plays a vital role by ensuring funds move accurately and promptly, handling inward and outward payments, same-day cleared payments, and wholesale settlements to support various customers, businesses, and banking partners.

About the Role

This permanent position seeks an Operations Consultant who thrives on managing detailed payment and settlement operations, investigating exceptions, and ensuring the smooth processing of high-value, time-sensitive transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the settlement and investigation of inward and outward payment activities, including escalations and queries related to settlements.
• Work with SWIFT/AVP messages, international money transfers, manual payment requests, and payment frameworks to trace, analyze, and resolve payment-related issues.
• Support time-sensitive transactions such as Same Day Cleared Payments, requiring accuracy, speed, and sound judgment.
• Manage wholesale settlement processes, including Continuous Linked Settlement and Settlement Before Interchange.
• Analyze data across multiple systems to identify root causes, manage risks, and determine appropriate next steps.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvements that enhance payment and settlement efficiencies.

About You

• Proven hands-on experience with SWIFT and preferably with international payment operations in banking or financial services.
• Expertise in payment investigations, settlements, reconciliations, or transaction analysis.
• A curious and inquisitive mindset that actively questions, follows payment flows, and uncovers details.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and make timely decisions under pressure.
• Exceptional attention to detail and numerical precision when handling high-value transactions.
• Effective and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines for time-critical payments.
• Comfortable adapting to and learning various operational systems.

Experience in international payments, wholesale operations, or high-volume banking processes is highly valued.
