Job description
Role Overview
We are currently seeking qualified professionals to become BTEC Onscreen Examiners in several subject areas including Business, Engineering, ICT, Performing Arts, and Sport. Additionally, we are especially looking for examiners who can assess responses in Welsh. This role involves evaluating candidate submissions using ePEN, a digital marking platform, with assignments primarily completed from home. A thorough understanding of the subject matter is essential to accurately apply the assessment standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and consistent marking to uphold assessment standards.
- Submit sample work to assigned Team Leaders within specified timelines.
- Adhere strictly to marking schedules and complete tasks by milestone deadlines.
- Complete all required administrative duties as outlined by the examination board.
Experience and Qualifications
- Possess at least one academic year of teaching experience within the last eight years.
- Experience must relate specifically to the relevant subject area and educational level.
- Hold a degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Be a certified teacher.
Required Competencies
- Ability to perform efficiently under pressure.
- Capacity to meet strict deadlines.
- Extensive subject knowledge to accurately follow the marking scheme.
