GCSE Physics Examiner (2016 Specification)

Overview

This position involves assessing candidate responses for the GCSE Physics (2016 Specification) following a clearly defined marking scheme and strict examination guidelines. Most marking will be conducted electronically via ePEN from home, although some scripts may require traditional paper-based assessment.* A thorough understanding of Physics is essential to correctly apply marking criteria. Examiners receive a set number of candidate scripts to evaluate.

Key Responsibilities

• Mark all scripts accurately and consistently to uphold quality standards.
• Submit sample assessments to the Team Leader as scheduled.
• Meet all marking deadlines and milestones.
• Complete all required administrative tasks punctually and precisely.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• At least one academic year's teaching experience in Physics, acquired within the last eight years since qualification.
• A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
• Professional teacher certification.

Additional Details

• The active marking period runs from May to July.
