About the Role
CARTERS' Papakura Branch is seeking a proactive On-The-Go Sales Representative to serve our Asian trade clientele within Papakura and neighboring areas. This position involves driving a Transit delivery van with a weekly or fortnightly customer visit schedule, primarily targeting building sites to identify sales prospects and supply essential products such as fasteners, glues, drill bits, and hand tools. The role includes maneuvering through busy streets and construction sites while prioritizing health and safety. Additional responsibilities include assisting with front counter and yard duties as required.
Key Duties
- Develop and manage customer relationships to boost sales growth.
- Maintain accurate stock control and inventory accountability within the van.
- Execute trade sales including processing special orders and transactional sales during site visits.
Candidate Profile
- Proven competence in safe and confident driving, especially in urban and construction site environments.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Familiarity with stock handling and conducting transactional sales.
- Previous experience in trade sales or similar customer-facing roles is essential.
- Strong communication proficiency in both English and Mandarin to effectively support Mandarin-speaking customers.
- Must hold a valid New Zealand Driver License.
