Role Overview
As an Account Manager positioned at CARTERS East Tamaki, you will oversee and expand a portfolio of trade clients within Auckland’s residential building sector. Your role primarily involves engaging directly with customers on-site, including medium to large residential builders, contractors, and developers, to fully comprehend their project needs and ensure CARTERS delivers the required materials accurately and timely.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and manage your own client visit schedule, inspecting sites to uncover opportunities and forecast upcoming construction projects.
- Drive business growth by cultivating and maintaining strong relationships within the local trade community through proactive networking.
- Serve as the primary communication link between customers and internal teams concerning stock availability, delivery schedules, and pricing, ensuring issues are resolved swiftly.
- Oversee the sales process for Frame and Truss Manufacturing from the initial quotation stage through to production completion.
- Establish and maintain supplier partnerships to create comprehensive solutions tailored to customers’ building requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated success in sales or account/relationship management, preferably with exposure to the building or trade industries.
- Excellent organizational abilities to efficiently manage a busy sales call cycle while pursuing new business prospects.
- Confident in spotting and acting upon emerging market opportunities.
- Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills when faced with challenges.
