Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant to join our Nursery team. The role involves delivering exceptional care, support, and learning opportunities for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), school policies, and UAE standards to foster a safe, nurturing, and developmental environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering the EYFS curriculum through meaningful interactions and stimulating educational activities.
- Collaborate with the Nursery Teacher to plan and implement age-appropriate programs encouraging learning and growth.
- Monitor and document children's progress contributing to assessment and learning portfolios.
- Support development in communication, language, social, emotional, and physical domains.
- Encourage children's autonomy, confidence, and positive behavioral practices.
- Help organize and sustain a conducive indoor and outdoor learning space.
Health, Safety & Wellbeing
- Ensure a secure, hygienic, and encouraging environment.
- Adhere strictly to safeguarding protocols, child protection measures, and health and safety standards.
- Assist in children’s personal hygiene and wellbeing routines.
- Appropriately address accidents or health concerns liaising with the school medical team as necessary.
- Promote healthy routines around nutrition, rest, and emotional wellbeing.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work effectively with staff members supporting a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Establish and maintain positive communication with parents to support learning continuity.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training programs.
- Contribute to school events, performances, and activities promoting community engagement.
Professional Standards
- Exemplify a caring, patient, and nurturing demeanor consistently.
- Comply with the school’s values, policies, and professional standards.

Qualifications & Experience
- Preferably holds a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in Early Years or Nursery environments.
- Sound knowledge of child development and EYFS principles.
- First Aid and Safeguarding certifications or willingness to obtain these.
- Experience supporting children with diverse developmental needs is advantageous.
