ICT Teacher

Job Overview

The ICT Teacher will deliver the prescribed curriculum with current and accurate knowledge of the subject. This role involves planning engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning styles, supported by appropriate resources and classroom environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the curriculum effectively, showing thorough knowledge of subject matter.
• Design and conduct lessons that motivate and engage students, utilizing materials suited for different learning preferences.
• Maintain written records of lesson plans, attendance, teaching materials, and assessment strategies as requested.
• Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate individual student needs, including late joiners, ESL learners, and gifted or lower ability students.
• Set, mark, and assess students' work, monitoring their academic progress and tailoring the curriculum accordingly.
• Use technology and media competently to enhance classroom learning.
• Support students' overall development and wellbeing, offering educational guidance.
• Participate in and possibly lead extracurricular activities and co-curricular programs to foster a positive school environment.
• Assist in organizing school events such as competitions, concerts, plays, and award ceremonies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current technologies and teaching methodologies.
• Strong teaching skills with a passion for student learning and subject mastery.
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.

Experience

• Minimum two years of teaching experience in ICT or a related subject.
