Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled NOC/Data Center Operations Engineer to support the monitoring and maintenance of critical physical infrastructure and distributed edge data centers. This role involves troubleshooting and managing systems related to power, cooling, networking, and facilities to ensure high availability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor critical physical infrastructure systems using PLC, BMS, and DCIM platforms such as Distech and Schneider Electric.
• Respond to alerts concerning power, cooling, network connectivity, environmental conditions, and facilities.
• Provide Tier 2 support, manage incident lifecycle, and coordinate with teams and vendors for resolution.
• Conduct routine health checks on UPS, PDUs, cooling units, generators, and environmental sensors.
• Interpret technical documentation including electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Coordinate maintenance, participate in change management, and enforce security policies within data center environments.
• Support modular and edge data center operations, ensuring continuity and resilience across distributed infrastructure.
• Utilize tools such as Grafana, ServiceNow, and Jira for monitoring and incident management.
• Maintain documentation, assist with automation to improve operations, and support compliance audits.
• Engage collaboratively with various teams to maintain operational excellence and participate in on-call schedules.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in NOC, data center, or critical infrastructure operations.
• Proficiency with PLC, BMS, and DCIM systems.
• Hands-on experience with power and cooling infrastructure in mission-critical environments.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems such as UPS, PDUs, CRAC/CRAH, and generators.
• Networking fundamentals and experience with infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Incident management and operational change experience.
• Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and documentation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Availability to work shifts including nights and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modular, containerized, or edge data centers.
• Supporting geographically distributed and remote infrastructure operations.
• Familiarity with IoT sensors and telemetry integrations.
• Basic skills in Linux and Windows server environments.
• Some scripting or automation experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience with monitoring and operational platforms like Grafana and ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of compliance, audits, and operational security.
• Relevant certifications such as CDCP, CCNA, or CompTIA Server+.
