Night Shift Injection Moulding Setter Supervisor

Overview

A reputable manufacturing company based in Rochester, Kent is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter / Supervisor for their night shift team. The role offers a salary range of £36,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. The working hours are from 5:45 PM to 4:00 AM, Monday to Thursday.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and initiate injection moulding machines efficiently.
• Perform mould tool changes accurately and safely.
• Diagnose and resolve moulding, machine, and processing problems promptly.
• Enhance cycle times, product quality, and overall productivity.
• Lead and provide support for a team of six operators during the night shift.
• Monitor production activities to reduce downtime to a minimum.
• Maintain and complete accurate production and quality control paperwork.
• Enforce Health & Safety regulations alongside maintaining housekeeping and 5S standards.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives and support automation projects.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality departments.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter or Technician is crucial.
• Solid understanding of injection moulding techniques and effective troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with mould tool changes is required.
• Capable of working autonomously during night shifts making sound decisions.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Proactive and practical approach to solving problems.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge or experience with automation, robotics, Lean manufacturing, or ISO standards is an advantage.
