Role Overview
The Night Manager will be responsible for managing the hotel’s operations during the overnight shift, guaranteeing a flawless, safe, and consistently high-quality guest experience in alignment with The Ned's ultra-luxury service standards. This includes full accountability for the Front Office and collaboration with various departments to meet guest needs and uphold operational and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage night shift hotel operations ensuring smooth and effective functioning across all departments.
- Lead the Front Office night operations handling guest arrivals, departures, requests, complaints, and service recovery processes.
- Conduct frequent inspections around the hotel to monitor cleanliness, safety, security, and service delivery.
- Provide operational support to other departments during night hours and coordinate cross-department activities.
- Address guest issues with professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence, consistent with luxury service standards.
- Ensure all guest interactions during the night reflect deep knowledge of luxury hospitality, LQA, Forbes standards, and The Ned's service philosophy.
- Display strong cultural awareness and understanding of Qatari traditions, customs, and expected guest behaviour.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage outlets, menus, and services to competently manage guest inquiries.
- Collaborate closely with Security and overnight teams to guarantee a safe environment for guests and colleagues.
- React adeptly to emergencies and unanticipated incidents by making appropriate decisions and escalating as needed.
- Have thorough awareness of hotel facilities, services, operation schedules, events, and guest experiences.
- Strictly observe all operational policies, standards, and LQA requirements during the night shift.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Night Manager or senior roles in Front Office or Rooms Division in luxury or ultra-luxury hotels.
- Extensive background in overnight hotel operations and Night Audit procedures.
- Proficiency with OPERA Property Management System is mandatory.
- Solid understanding of Front Office, Finance, and Night Audit procedures.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Deep knowledge of LQA and Forbes hospitality standards alongside luxury guest service approaches.
- Good cultural sensitivity towards Qatari customs and guest preferences.
- Ability to independently make decisions and manage several situations during night hours effectively.
- Strong leadership qualities with problem-solving aptitude and expertise in service recovery.
- Arabic language skills are preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English abilities.
- Previous professional experience in Qatar or the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is advantageous.
