About the Role
Join Environment Control Ohio Valley, Inc., a company with over five decades of expertise in building maintenance that emphasizes quality in every job. We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time Floor Technician in Columbus, OH to support our expanding team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform floor care duties including carpet cleaning, tile floor maintenance such as auto scrubbing, stripping and waxing, and buffing.
- Complete fill-in cleaning assignments as needed.
- Carry out project-based tasks like exterior window washing, construction site clean-ups, and tenant move-out cleaning.
- Check in daily with a supervisor to confirm assignments and vehicle availability.
- Execute assigned tasks independently or as part of a team.
- Capture before and after photos for job quality control using the Orange QC Job Report system.
- Report any issues related to floors, access, or equipment promptly to supervisors.
- Coordinate with supervisors and managers to secure building access when necessary.
- Utilize company vehicles based on equipment demands, ensuring to sign vehicles out and in properly while reporting vehicle issues.
- Manage keys responsibly by signing them out from or returning them to supervisors or the key box.
- Label any broken equipment with detailed problem descriptions.
- Respond to customer complaints as directed through supervision and the Orange QC system.
- Support general fill-in cleaning operations as required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting wage of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, equating to approximately $37,440 to $41,600 annually based on a 40-hour workweek.
- Standard 40 hours per week schedule.
- A 90-day probationary period before eligibility for the company-sponsored health care plan; eligibility contingent upon consistently maintaining 40 work hours per week during this period.
- 401(k) retirement plan enrollment eligibility after one year of employment and completion of 1,000 working hours.
