About The Fleet Hotel
The Fleet Hotel is a charming boutique hotel situated in central Dublin, near Temple Bar. The property includes historic buildings such as the famous Bewley's Café, a landmark tea house cherished by Dubliners since 1905. The hotel reflects rich local heritage and offers guests a blend of tradition and comfort.
Role Overview
As Night Auditor, you will be a key member of the Nights Team, reporting primarily to the Night Manager. Your main goal is to support night operations and facilitate guest satisfaction through attentive service and effective team coordination. You will oversee a team of Night Porters and work alongside the Operations Manager and Duty Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Night Manager in supervising the night team to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Execute departmental procedures consistent with hotel standards, providing outstanding guest service while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Welcome guests warmly and courteously upon arrival and during their stay, anticipating their needs to enhance their experience.
- Follow the Standard Operating Procedures manual to maintain consistent service quality.
- Maintain exemplary personal presentation and professional conduct at all times.
- Promptly report accidents or incidents and assist in gathering necessary documentation.
- Adhere to all hotel policies including fire safety, health and safety, and security guidelines.
- Complete nightly audit reports and front office tasks such as guest check-ins and check-outs during the night shift.
- Promote departmental sales efforts and capitalize on upselling opportunities.
- Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of public areas, including toilets and bar spaces, preparing for the following business day.
- Secure cash, stock, and equipment in accordance with hotel protocols.
- Manage overall night-time health and safety including fire rounds, security checks, and first aid as needed.
- Provide food and beverage service during night hours.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve complaints professionally as they occur.
- Conduct timely handovers with Duty Managers at shift start and end.
- Perform additional tasks as delegated by Night or Operations Managers.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal applicant should have at least one year of experience as a Night Auditor or Night Porter in a four-star hotel environment. Familiarity with night audit processes, guest services, team management, and hotel health and safety standards is essential.
