About The Fleet Hotel
The Fleet Hotel is a charming boutique establishment located centrally in Dublin near Temple Bar, housed within historic period buildings including the iconic Bewleys Café. Originally established in 1905 by Ernest Bewley, this venue is a storied part of Dublin’s local heritage, famed as one of Europe’s premier tea houses and beloved by generations of Dubliners.
Primary Role and Responsibilities
As an Accommodation Assistant, you will work closely with the Accommodation Manager and Supervisors to maintain and clean guest rooms and public spaces to a high standard, ensuring an enjoyable and memorable experience for guests.
- Identify and service designated areas as directed by management upon starting shifts.
- Adhere strictly to established standard operating procedures for cleaning and servicing.
- Maintain cleanliness of all public hotel areas and corridors, including glass fire doors.
- Operate departmental vehicles carefully and in accordance with guidelines.
- Maintain and care for cleaning equipment and storage facilities.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as scheduled by management procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues that may impact guest safety or comfort promptly.
- Provide in-room amenities such as water, gifts, and fruit per hotel standards.
- Respond immediately to guest privacy and comfort requests.
- Ensure proper segregation and disposal of waste including wet waste, glass, and recyclables.
- Participate in weekly team meetings or briefings as required.
- Anticipate guest needs, greet guests warmly, and respond promptly to requests.
- Communicate effectively with fellow team members and management.
- Follow all operational systems and procedures diligently.
- Be adaptable to varied schedules including day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts according to business needs.
- Engage in training and development programs when provided.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of one year's experience serving as an Accommodation Assistant within a hotel environment.
- Availability and flexibility to work any five days out of seven, including weekends and public holidays.
