Network Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Specialist proficient in managing routing, SDWAN, switching, firewalls, and load balancers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise combined with excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities to lead teams effectively and collaborate across IT infrastructure groups.

Required Expertise

• Proficient troubleshooting and upgrading of Cisco routers, Nexus/Catalyst switches, Cisco SDWAN, Palo Alto and CheckPoint firewalls, and F5 load balancers.
• Capable of conducting network hardware and software upgrades for routers and switches.
• Hands-on experience with routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, VPN, and static routing.
• Skilled in IP addressing strategies such as NAT, network re-addressing, WAN IP routed network integration, and wireless LAN technologies.
• Practical knowledge of wireless technologies such as Meraki and Aruba.
• Expertise in Cisco Catalyst and Nexus 7k/9k switches.
• Experienced with Network Access Control (NAC) solutions like Cisco ISE.
• Comprehensive understanding of LAN routing, switching, security, voice, and wireless LAN products.
• Knowledgeable in network protocols including VPN, OSPF, BGP, and TCP/IP.
• Competent in supporting Cisco Nexus and data center environments.
• Hands-on familiarity with Cisco ACS, Cisco DNAC, and public DNS services.
• Deliver network engineering solutions supporting large enterprise customer data networks.
• Strong analytical capabilities to diagnose and solve complex network problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 10 years of practical experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and F5 load balancers.
• Cisco CCNP certification; certifications in Cisco SDWAN, Palo Alto, or F5 are advantageous.
• Experience with cloud network environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Familiarity with data and video network technologies.
