About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Consultant based in Doha, Qatar, with 4 to 6 years of solid experience in managing firewall and security operations specifically within the Telecom sector. This role involves comprehensive management of network security infrastructure, including SD-WAN, customer protection frameworks, core network services, and cloud security initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate and manage Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, including crafting firewall rules, policies, configuration, continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
- Administer security infrastructure devices such as FortiGate, FortiAuthenticator, FortiMail, and FortiWeb.
- Maintain and optimize Fortinet/Huawei SD-WAN environments by managing routing, traffic direction, application prioritization, ensuring secure connectivity, and hybrid cloud integrations.
- Protect enterprise and customer network infrastructures, promptly address security incidents.
- Oversee core network services like DNS, proxies, authentication processes, and mail relays, guaranteeing their uptime, security, and robustness.
- Support F5/load balancing systems and ensure efficient application delivery services.
- Manage Azure network security components, including Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups, Virtual Networks, Application Gateways/WAF, Load Balancers, DNS, and hybrid connectivity setups.
- Conduct regular infrastructure health evaluations, monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with NOC/SOC, Network, Cloud, and IT units to swiftly resolve incidents and uphold continuous service availability.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 4 to 6 years of experience in network security operations within the Telecom industry.
- Proficient hands-on expertise with FortiGate, FortiAuthenticator, FortiMail, FortiWeb, and Fortinet/Huawei SD-WAN systems.
- Experience working with firewalls, network switches, and load balancers in enterprise environments.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and proven incident management skills.
- Essential certifications: Fortinet NSE levels 4 through 7 or recognized equivalent, and Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-500, or AZ-700).
- Python scripting knowledge is advantageous.
