About the Role
Innov Ultra Business Services is seeking a Network Engineer with 2 to 4 years of professional experience for a full-time position based in Chennai. This role requires immediate availability (within 0 to 15 days).
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot VMware NSX, vSphere Distributed Switches, and other virtual networking components.
- Design and deploy secure and resilient virtual network solutions aligned with organizational and security needs.
- Conduct regular maintenance, monitoring, and network performance optimization.
- Address incidents, manage change requests, and handle escalations related to network infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure and cloud teams to ensure integration between physical and virtual networks.
- Maintain precise network documentation and change management logs.
- Perform network assessments, detect issues proactively, and suggest long-term upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with network security policies and participate in audits when necessary.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Network Engineer, preferably with VMware environment exposure.
- CCNA certification is mandatory.
- Comprehensive understanding of OSI model layers, LAN, switches, routers, firewalls, and network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Experience working with Cisco switches and routers.
- Hands-on experience with VMware NSX, vCenter, ESXi, and virtual networking technologies.
- Basic scripting skills in PowerShell or Python are advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Must be an immediate joiner, available within 0 to 15 days.
Additional Information
The position is based in Chennai. The budgeted salary is approximately 600,000 INR per annum. Listed benefits include Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), and Cab facilities.
