Direct reports will include Network Development Engineers and Technical Program Managers who collaborate extensively with the broader Infrastructure organization to set configuration standards and develop tools. The team works closely with Systems and Software Engineers to ensure efficient rollout of new network designs, products, and ongoing maintenance of networking software tools.

AWS Direct Connect enables customers to establish dedicated network links from their facilities to the AWS cloud, reducing network expenses, increasing bandwidth, and delivering more consistent performance than standard Internet connections. Currently, AWS Direct Connect operates in over 100 locations across nearly 70 cities in 30 countries worldwide.

  • Define, analyze, and improve key performance indicators to assess engineer and team effectiveness, thereby driving service enhancements.
  • Work alongside customers and partners to onboard new services into production.
  • Adapt efficiently in a rapidly changing environment, reprioritizing as necessary.
  • Identify human resource needs proactively, participate in recruitment, and support team growth through hiring.
  • Provide leadership through performance evaluations, ongoing feedback, coaching, and supporting career advancement of team members.
