Network & Cybersecurity Specialist

Overview

This position focuses on overseeing the company's network framework and cybersecurity approaches, establishing a solid defense across various locations including corporate headquarters, manufacturing plants, and group entities. Initially an individual contributor role, it evolves into leading the development of a dedicated Network & Cybersecurity team as the function expands.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the network architecture and cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives, compliance, and industry standards.
• Maintain organizational cybersecurity policies, standards, and controls encompassing identity management, endpoints, network, and cloud environments.
• Direct security operations such as threat monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and remediation with a hands-on approach, moving towards a team-led model.
• Responsible for network design and architecture across offices and manufacturing locations, coordinating with network, server, and system administration teams for deployment.
• Assess, select, and deploy security technologies including firewalls, SIEM, EDR, and DLP tools, collaborating with vendors.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements like ISO 27001, ITGC, and data privacy, leading audits and certifications.
• Carry out regular security risk assessments, penetration testing, and facilitate organizational security awareness training sessions.
• Develop and maintain incident response procedures as well as oversee business continuity and disaster recovery security aspects in coordination with IT support teams.
• Manage budget allocation for network and cybersecurity resources, including tools, software licenses, and services.
• Provide detailed reports on cybersecurity status, risks, and incidents to senior management and the SGM IT leadership.

Candidate Profile

• Academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields (B.E./B.Tech/MCA).
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalents are highly desirable.
• Extensive professional experience spanning 12 to 16 years in network and cybersecurity domains, especially in establishing or expanding security operations.
