Job description
Role Overview
The Ministry of Education in New Zealand is looking for a permanent full-time Network Analyst based in Rotorua or Tauranga, Bay of Plenty. This position supports regional teams by analyzing and interpreting data and trends related to education, assisting internal and external work programs, and providing insightful reports and presentations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret network trends and achievement data to inform education sector initiatives.
- Provide analytical support and guidance to internal teams to aid sector-related projects.
- Respond to information requests and develop clear written communications, including working papers, reports, and presentations.
Candidate Requirements
- Recent relevant experience in gathering, collating, and analyzing data and information.
- Strong capability using data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities influencing organizational decisions.
- Excellent written communication, numerical, statistical, and ICT skills.
- Outstanding time management and ability to prioritize work effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams.
- Clear understanding and application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga principles.
- Possess a full, current driver licence due to required regional travel.
- Willingness to comply with Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
About the Team
This role is part of the Operations and Insights team within Te Mahau | Education Services, which provides leadership and integrated education services throughout the Bay of Plenty-Waiariki region. The team works closely with education providers and communities, focusing on equitable outcomes and strengthening relationships, particularly with Māori, Pacific peoples, and learners with diverse needs.
