Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Natural Language Processing (NLP) Engineer based in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing NLP models to extract valuable insights from text data. Key tasks include handling text classification, entity extraction, sentiment analysis, and overall language understanding. The role demands preprocessing and curating datasets, experimenting with various deep learning models, enhancing model performance, and integrating these into production environments in partnership with software and data engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and apply advanced NLP techniques and methodologies.
• Develop clean, maintainable codebases for NLP applications.
• Document procedures and maintain transparent technical records.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.
• Contribute to building scalable AI solutions aligned with business goals.
• Evaluate and incorporate new NLP technologies to improve workflows.

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering best practices.
• Hands-on experience with NLP tools and libraries such as Hugging Face, spaCy, and NLTK.
• Proficiency in data science techniques including preprocessing, feature engineering, model testing, and empirical evaluation.
• Practical knowledge of deep learning architectures relevant to NLP, like transformers, RNNs, LSTMs, and attention mechanisms.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience using PyTorch or TensorFlow frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization is preferred.
• Academic background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to operate effectively within cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical ideas clearly.
• Experience involving MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, and client-facing roles is an advantage.
