Music Teacher

Role Overview

As a Teacher Partner at Openhouse, you will facilitate engaging and high-quality music lessons primarily for children aged 5 to 12. You will be responsible for student progress, fostering positive experiences for parents, and maintaining an enriching learning environment focused on rhythm, melody, and musical expression.

Core Duties

• Prepare and deliver music classes employing the Openhouse curriculum, involving activities such as singing, rhythm exercises, and teaching fundamental musical concepts.
• Track and document students’ progress, providing insightful feedback to parents and management through regular updates and reports.
• Engage with parents during feedback sessions, workshops, and events while collaborating with management to support student trial classes and admission processes.
• Lead student rehearsals and prepare them for performances and events; actively participate in training sessions and team meetings.

Candidate Profile

• Passion for teaching music to children.
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least two of these instruments or skills: Ukulele/Guitar, Keyboards, Drums, Western Vocals.
• Comfort and enthusiasm for working with children between 5 to 12 years old.
• Adeptness in engaging young learners through rhythms, songs, and interactive musical activities.
• Previous experience teaching music and formal music education or certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Commitment & Timing

The role requires committing to any five days per week, totaling 20 hours, with 4-hour shifts each day chosen by the teacher:

• Weekdays: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
• Weekends: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Work Location

Classes take place across various learning centers or apartment complexes in Bangalore. Location assignments will align with teacher preferences.

Compensation

The monthly salary ranges between INR 25,000 to 30,000, which is dependent on interview performance.
