About the Role
We invite you to become part of our team as a Multi-Skilled Operator, offering you a variety of hands-on civil maintenance tasks including roads, drainage, footpaths, and plant operation. This position is ideal for operators who enjoy multitasking and working with diverse equipment in a safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on public infrastructure such as roads, drainage systems, and footpaths efficiently and safely while adhering to required standards.
- Operate machinery, council vehicles, and tools with competence, ensuring adherence to occupational health and safety (OH&S) procedures and careful handling of assets.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors and team members, maintain accurate records, and foster a customer-oriented, secure operational atmosphere.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Practical experience in road infrastructure, drainage, and cleansing maintenance.
- Proficiency in safely operating vehicles and heavy plant machinery.
- Understanding of traffic control protocols, including placement of warning signs, barriers, and lights.
- Knowledge of safety regulations for confined space work.
- Skillful use of light hydraulic cranes.
- Capability to work effectively within a team, following directions and meeting deadlines.
- Licences required: front end loader/backhoe and forklift operation.

- Valid Drivers Licence and Heavy Rigid Truck Licence
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary of $79,792.65 plus superannuation.
- Permanent full-time role with a focus on work-life balance, including a nine-day fortnight schedule and regular rostered days off.
