Job description
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Multi-Skilled Labourer to join our team focused on preserving and improving community recreational and public spaces like Tolosa Park, Montrose Foreshore, and the GASP Pavilion. This role involves various outdoor tasks to maintain parks, gardens, foreshore, and community assets ensuring they remain safe, appealing, and accessible for both residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out grounds upkeep activities across different outdoor locations.
- Operate and manage various plant and machinery.
- Maintain public facilities and assist with recreational amenities' upkeep.
- Identify and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Support irrigation operations and chemical applications as needed.
- Engage positively with community members while adhering to workplace safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Position Details
- Full-time position, working 76 hours each fortnight.
- Annual remuneration of $67,178.12 AUD.
Essential Qualifications
- Possession of a Medium Rigid Truck “MR” Class license.
- Valid White Card for Construction Induction.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Traffic Management Accreditation or willingness to obtain.
- Agricultural Chemical Skill Set (AHCSS00074) or willingness to obtain.
- Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks & Garden, or relevant experience in parks maintenance, landscaping, or general laboring.
