Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our Vancouver, BC clinic located at 39 Nelson St. This permanent, on-site role involves working Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with possible schedule adjustments based on clinic demand. Applicants must reside within a 45-minute commute and be legally permitted to work in Canada without visa sponsorship. The role may also include covering shifts at our North Vancouver location at 123 13th Street E.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners ensuring patient safety and high-quality Prenuvo scan performance following current protocols.
• Manage inventory by ordering necessary supplies and maintaining scan rooms and equipment cleanliness.
• Troubleshoot MRI equipment issues and communicate them promptly to the relevant departments.
• Effectively use ancillary tools and software such as PACS for image handling.
• Perform post-processing of images, including ensuring all steps are completed and images are transferred to PACS.
• Provide training and leadership to new technologists, covering patient safety, room preparation, communication, image acquisition, time management, and image processing.

Qualifications and Experience

• Solid foundational knowledge of MRI imaging techniques and patient safety protocols.
• Possession of a relevant license such as ARMRIT, ARRT (MR), or their equivalent depending on location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Completion of an accredited MRI or radiologic technology program.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience in MRI.
• Ability to independently perform and accurately complete all required MRI examinations following clinic procedures.
• Competence in conducting advanced MRI studies independently.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and handle fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
• Strong patient care abilities, capable of explaining complex medical information in accessible terms.
• Demonstrated eagerness to acquire new skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Customer-focused demeanor and professional presentation.
• High personal standards with the ability to critically evaluate image quality.
