Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced MQ and WebSphere Administrator to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role primarily focuses on administration and maintenance of IBM WebSphere Application Server environments with secondary responsibilities around IBM MQ management.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Oversee IBM HTTP Server (IHS) and associated middleware systems.
- Deploy and support Java EE applications across development, testing, and production stages.
- Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ queue managers, channels, listeners, and associated MQ objects.
- Handle distributed queue management and MQ clustering setups.
- Continuously monitor MQ queue activity, message flows, queue depths, and overall system performance to maintain optimal operation.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server administration.
- Extensive knowledge of WAS version 9.0.5.x, ideally version 9.0.5.17 or later.
- Proficient in Java EE deployment processes.
- Strong familiarity with JDBC, JMS, JNDI, JVM tuning, clustering, load balancing, and production support practices.
- Skilled in performance optimization techniques within WebSphere environments.
