Motorman for Dredging Operations

Overview

We are seeking experienced Motormen, Oilers, or Greasers to join dredger vessels operating within UK waters. This role offers long-term employment with a schedule of six weeks on duty followed by six weeks off. Candidates must be UK nationals or possess a valid UK Work Permit.

Role Function

As a vital member of the engine room team, you will assist in the operation, upkeep, and repair of machinery and equipment aboard the dredger vessels. Your efforts will support the Engineering Department to maintain safe and efficient vessel performance while adhering to stringent safety protocols.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience as a Motorman, Oiler, or Greaser is required
• Experience working on dredger vessels is advantageous
• Holders of valid STCW Basic Safety Training certifications
• Possession of a current Seafarer's Medical Certificate (such as ENG1 or equivalent)
• Must have a valid Seaman's Book
• Proficient in English communication
• Capability to work safely within a diverse, multicultural crew environment
• Availability to commit to a 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off rotational work pattern
