Overview

If you currently work as a Motor Assessor or have experience as a Panel Beater or Automotive Spray Painter and want to transition from manual work, this role offers an excellent opportunity. Budget Direct is hiring for several openings in Melbourne, specifically at their Altona and Sunshine assessment centers.

Compensation and Benefits

• Comprehensive pay package reaching up to AUD 140,000 including base salary, superannuation, and a company vehicle

Role Responsibilities

• Report to the Motor Assessing Manager while managing vehicle repairs to ensure effectiveness, safety, and timely delivery in line with company policies
• Precisely evaluate vehicle damage to determine the safest and most cost-efficient repair methods
• Deliver exceptional customer service both over the phone and face-to-face
• Perform vehicle inspections consistent with underwriting guidelines and claims procedures
• Prepare detailed assessment reports and negotiate repair scopes and costs accurately
• Maintain and develop professional connections within the smash repair industry and with relevant stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Essential to hold Certificate III in Panel Beating or Automotive Spray-Painting
• Comfortable with computers and technology; candidates may be tested on these skills
• Ability to perform well in a high-pressure, dynamic environment with a strong desire to grow professionally
• Capability to prepare damage repair quotes and estimates (training will be provided)
• Must pass background checks and demonstrate full rights to work in Australia, as required by insurance industry regulations
