About the Role

We are partnering with a client expanding their Mortgage team to recruit a skilled Mortgage Advisor. The successful candidate will oversee the entire mortgage process for customers, playing a vital role in meeting sales targets, enhancing the customer journey, and contributing to the growth of the mortgage sales function. This position operates in a hybrid working model.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Substantial experience managing the complete mortgage process within a brokerage environment is mandatory.
• Possession of the APA (Mortgages) qualification is essential; holding QFA or Professional Banker certifications is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage regulation and compliance standards is required.
• Experience liaising with credit teams to advance mortgage applications is necessary.
• Proven track record in successfully converting applications through to completion.
• Ability to function effectively within a team in a goal-oriented, target-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle mortgage applications from initial inquiry through to completion and fund disbursement.
• Deliver proactive support to clients through digital and remote communication channels.
• Meet established conversion and completion targets by managing the sales pipeline efficiently.
• Compile comprehensive credit assessments to aid underwriting decisions.
• Collaborate closely with sales, product, and credit teams to optimize processes and results.
• Identify process inefficiencies and work with management to resolve them.
• Develop new business opportunities using personal networks alongside leads supplied by the company.
• Provide regular reports on performance and progress relative to objectives.
