Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Buyer/Planner to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing company. This vital position ensures a consistent supply of materials to support production while effectively managing inventory and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and sustain production schedules aligning with demand and manufacturing capacities.
- Conduct MRP planning utilizing SAP systems to guarantee timely material availability.
- Issue and oversee purchase orders for raw materials, packaging, and consumables.
- Track supplier performance, ensure punctual deliveries, and expedite urgent materials as necessary.
- Control inventory levels, safety stock, and reorder points efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Engineering teams, and external suppliers.
- Recognize supply chain risks and assist in contingency and continuity planning.
- Adhere strictly to GMP, GDP, and all pertinent regulatory standards.
- Monitor supply chain performance indicators and actively engage in continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Between three to five years of experience in purchasing, planning, or materials management roles.
- Preferable experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices, or regulated manufacturing sectors.
- Proficiency with SAP and MRP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Adept at juggling multiple responsibilities and engaging with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive work approach.
